- This is the 1st of four birding trips to this park. To appreciate the monthly change in bird populations, each trip will approximate the same route. We’ll walk along the Perimeter Trail, the Heritage Trail and/or the Lake-to-Lake trail as we pass through this wetland area. We’ll walk as far as a 1 to 1½ hr trip will allow. Because we’re visiting the same site multiple times, this is a great opportunity to practice learning bird’s songs and recognizing birds by their behaviors. Shortly after sunrise the birds are particularly noisy and active.
- Note: the start time may be adjusted depending on the predicted air temperature. If it’s too cold, the start time may be a bit later to allow the birds to warm-up and become more active.
- Here are the dates and provisional start times for all 4 trips.
- 7:45AM binoculars in hand and ready to walk. Meet at Perimeter Trail trailhead at the top of the stairway on the south end of the parking structure (47.58550, -122.18952).
- Park at the South Bellevue Park & Ride (2700 Bellevue Way SE, Bellevue, WA 98004)
- Sunrise is at 7:15AM
