Join us for a morning of birding in Marymoor Park. We'll walk along the Sammamish River, on a boardwalk over a marsh and through a grassy area. We may see Great Blue Herons remodeling their nests right next to the trail.

We will start out walking through the off leash dog area till we get to the Sammamish River.  We'll walk along the river then enter the non-off leash area where we'll walk through a deciduous forest then onto a boardwalk over a marsh.    Our focus will be to find birds in the varied ecosystems - riparian, marsh, woods and grasslands.

We will not be stopping for lunch.  Please bring snacks and something to drink for the trail.   There are picnic tables near the parking lot, if you would like to have lunch after the hike.

In addition to the portable toilets near the parking lot, there is another portable toilet along the river trail.

Novice, as well as experienced, birders are most welcome.

Bring binoculars, and a birding scope, if you have them.

Meeting Place:  Lot D, Marymoor Park (off leash dog area), near the picnic tables on the east end of the parking lot (in front of the dog wash business)

Meeting Time:  9:00am.  After brief introductions, we will start walking about 9:15am.

Duration:  We will expect to be back to the parking lot between noon and 1pm.

There is a $1.00 parking fee.  Kiosks are at the entrance to the parking lot.  Cash or credit card accepted.
