Meet at 8:00 am at 26015 East Main Drive. The main entry is on the west side of the park in Sammamish via 228th Avenue SE and SE 8th Street to the end of East Main Drive, where there is a small paved parking lot. The park map states there are restrooms near our starting point. No parking passes required.

Soaring Eagle Regional Park is 600 acres of mature forests, wetlands, and wildlife habitat. It sits above Patterson Creek on the edge of the Sammamish Plateau along the western flank of the Snoqualmie River Valley. This natural area provides sanctuary for black bear, bobcat, black tail deer and more than 40 species of birds.

We will travel as a group at a casual pace: either fast hike or sloooow jog uphill, with faster pace on straightaways and low-grade downhill.

Please contact the leader before registering if you have not recently done a trail run of similar mileage, or have any doubt about your fitness and stamina to keep up. Also, if you are a fast runner and feel an overall average pace of ~4 mph on mostly flat terrain with a couple of stops along the trail is insufficient of a work-out for you, please consider if this trip is a good match for your abilities. We run as a group.
