We will look for a flow rate in the range of 200 to 350. In this range I expect that from launch we will have a moderate current for about the first half of the river. Tide is high on this day so we will meet tidal water at some point and the current will slow then stop. However, the high tide will make paddling into Edison easy.
There is wood on this river. At our expected flows, the hazards should be easy to avoid. When done in 2023, there were two river spanning wood piles. One we carried over, which involved climbing over logs. The other we carried around on the bank. Expect similar on this trip. Be prepared to get in and out of your boat.
We will meet in the town of Edison at the Breadfarm Store. Park appropriately and meet at the store. We'll scout the take out and arrange car shuttles. From there we will shuttle to the Hwy 99 Samish River bridge, drop boats, and park in the WDFW lot, located about 200ft north
