Urban Walk - Old Seattle: Denny Hill & Historic Shoreline

This one way urban walk is an moderate one with 7.3 miles of travel and and an elevation gain of 835 feet. We will start at Victor Steinbrueck Park and walk to Pike Place Market, Denny Hill, Cascade Playground and end up at Gas Works Park at Lake Union.

Meet at 9 AM prepared to walk at Victor  Steinbruck Park at Western and Virginia, 1999 Western Ave, just north of Pike Place Market. This is servied by many Metro Lines several blocks away at  3rd Av. There are free toilets at Pike Place Market. There are parking facilities in the area.  

Gas Works Park has a parking lot at 3300 N Northlake Way which has parking up to four hours. Also some of the street parking nearby is unlimitied. Several blocks away near 38 Street on the entrance ramps to Hwy 99 is a stop for Metro Bus 5 and 28x which go directly downtown to allow access to the start of the walk.
