Hike in the Anacortes Community Forest Lands (ACFL) and enjoy being in the forest, checking out some views and seeing the spring wildflowers. The hike will take us up and down and up and down (etc), sometimes steeply but not for very long at a stretch.
When we arrive at Whistle Lake, we'll have the option to go for a swim. If you plan on swimming, please bring some type of swimming attire and be aware that, while it is a low-elevation lake (440'), it is by no means warm. It is very doable for those who swim outdoors in lakes, but bringing a towel and extra clothes is important.
