This is a winter conditioning hike that will keep us moving with limited breaks (aside from the summit and the Talus Rocks cave). Feel free to train with extra weight if you are able to maintain group pace.
We will start at the trailhead on Sunset Way and hike up past Round Lake and the old school bus to the Nook Trail, hiking up that to the Section Line Trail. From here, we will hike up the very steep Section Line Trail, which gains 1400 feet in under a mile (steepness rivals the Cable Line Trail but the trail is in much better condition with far less hikers). From the top of West Tiger 3, we will hike down the WT3 Trail and then follow the Talus Rocks trail to the Talus Rocks boulder garden, which features a cave! Bring a good flashlight if you want to look inside! We will then hike down the lower (less steep) part of the Section Line Trail, then hike along the Adventure Trail to finish the loop.
