This is a moderate-paced (not slow, not fast) social hike to get outside for some fresh air and a bit of elevation gain on the longer route to Poo Poo Point from the high school parking lot. We will pace to the slowest person, so any fast people will be expected to stay with group; however, all participants should have a decent conditioning level to get up and get down the trail without a bunch of stops beyond typical clothing adjustment and water breaks.
Trekking poles are recommended for the descent but not required. Microspikes should be carried in the backpack just in case we have ice at elevation.
A short break will be taken at Poo Poo Point to have a snack and catch any views.
Any questions, please reach out to leader.
If someone would like to be an assistant leader and get volunteer credit, please inquire. No leader badge required.
08:30am Ready-to-Hike at the Issaquah High School parking lot below the tennis courts.
An email to participants will go out Friday.
