Leader's notes

I'm just getting back into hiking after recovering from an injury, and I'm starting to add distance and elevation. We'll go at a slow-and-steady pace. This is a good early season hike.

We will hike from the trailhead to Lunch Rock, overlooking the lake. Expect spring wildflowers and creeks. The trail can be wet and muddy in places this time of year, so boots are recommended.

All cars at the trailhead will need a National Forest Pass or an America the Beautiful Pass.
