Day Hike - Lena Lake

This is a moderate hike on a well maintained gravel trail to a beautiful lake in the Olympics. We will meet at the trailhead at 10 am. Travel will be in an easy pace (1.5 to 2 mph) with breaks every hour.

We will take breaks every hour and anticipate lunch at Lower Lena Lake.  I would anticipate a moderate pace, and will keep the group together.  This is not a steep trail, but some participants appreciate trekking poles.   Water bottles can filled by filtering at the lake.  If we want to meet for dinner we can plan when we regroup at the cars.  There are good restaurants in Hoodsport or Shelton.  This is a good hike to work off a few calories before Thanksgiving.  Occasionally elk can be spotted at this time of year.
