Day Hike - Lake Valhalla & Mount McCausland

Moderately paced hike to a beautiful alpine lake. We might find berries, fall colors and thru-hikers! Taking the PCT approach from Stevens Pass. We'll have lunch at the lake, and maybe a swim if the weather is nice. Here is the WTA hike description for Lake Valhalla.

Optional side trip to Mount McCausland: those that desire to tag the peak can do the additional 2 miles (round trip) and ~800ft elevation gain, while those that do not wish to do so can have a longer break at the lake. We will all hike out together.

We will aim to stay together and hike as a group but nobody will be left behind. Please be in reasonable shape for this trip - contact the leader if you have any questions about fitness or trip suitability.

We will follow all state and club COVID regulations at the time of the trip.
