Day Hike - Knox Creek—Thorp Mountain
We will take the shorter and steeper route to Thorp Mountain Lookout with plenty of time to look at the wildflowers and enjoy the views. This will be a moderately-paced outing on a route recently added to the Mountaineers database.

We will need a few high-clearance vehicles to access the trailhead. If it is as rough as last year, we might choose to walk the last 1/2 mile to the trailhead. There is some switchbacking across angled slopes on this route. You don't need to be a mountain goat, but make sure you are comfortable with this before you sign up. The photo with this listing shows the terrain I mention.
We'll have wonderful views from the lookout if the weather is good. It's not a route to rush. Hopefully, we'll be able to stop in the book store in Roslyn on our way back to get a cool drink and a sweet treat.
