Day Hike - Johnston Ridge & The Hummocks
Take advantage of the closed road to explore Johnston Ridge without crowds. Starting from the Hummocks trailhead, we will climb up the Boundary Trail to Johnston Ridge. MSH is a fascinating place for so many reasons: wildlife, flowers, geology and recovery.

My goals for this trip are as follows:
1. Be safe.
2. Learn something.
3. Make it to the ridge and get a good workout.
My expectations for trip participants are as follows:
1. Practice Leave No Trace principles
2. Be respectful of all participants
3. Have the physical conditioning necessary for this trip. Mileage and elevation gain are nothing extreme but it is all out in the open and if sunny there will be significant exposure to the sun, which can be extra tiring.
Note that if you are coming from Seattle or other parts north, the drive is quite long.
