Plan to be out all day.  The trail will likely be muddy, so bring a sitz pad and good shoes.   Diffused light through the trees and sparkling water make for great photographs.   Tall trees result in shade, so wear layers.

Seattle/Tacoma hikers welcome!  One of the leaders will pick up walk-ons from the 7:55 am Seattle-Bainbridge Island ferry for the 1.25 hour drive to Sequim Bay State Park on Hwy 101.  The other leader will be driving from Tacoma.   We will meet at 10:00 am at Sequim Bay State Park.  We will leave extra cars there (Discovery Pass required) and drive the approximately 1/2 hour to the trail head. (No pass required.)
