Day Hike - Duckabush River
Thursday hike! There was a date change NOT Monday. Lovely hike up the Duckabush. Trip reports say trail is in good condition and spring flowers are springing. Weather looks ok for Thursday . This will be a 10 mile out and back with lunch at our turn around point

This is a make up hike for Shoshana's hike that got cancelled, but it is open to all. Since this is short notice, there will not be a hello hiker. Meet at the trailhead and if anyone is interested in carpooling, arrange amongst yourself (I am coming form Tacoma and 6th ave park and ride is most convenient) will also be picking up colead at Purdy park n ride. If any of these stops work for you, let me know. Carolyn 253-225-8870
9 am at Duckabush River trailhead. You will need a NW forest pass.
here are the driving directions:
From Quilcene drive Highway 101 south for 15 miles, and turn west where a large sign indicates Duckabush Recreation Area. Continue six miles down this road, though the pavement ends at 3.6 miles. You will pass a large campground five miles in, this is Collins Campground. Six miles in, there is a sign for a horse parking area on the right. Go just past this parking area and bear right and uphill onto Forest Road 2510-060 which is not well signed and find the trailhead in 0.1 mile. Facilities are available at the trailhead, and there is room for about 20 cars.
