We will leave half our cars at the Newcastle Beach Park parking lot and then ride in the other cars to the Red Town trailhead parking lot.  We will then hike one way from Red Town to Newcastle Beach Park, have lunch there at a picnic table by Lake Washington and then shuttle back to Red Town, before returning home.   There is the option after the hike for a refreshment stop at the Newcastle Starbuck's, which is a short drive from Red Town.  There are restrooms at Newcastle Beach Park and two portapotties at Red Town, but no restroom facilities elsewhere on the hike.  The hike is almost entirely through wilderness, where there is the option for bathroom breaks at numerous trail junctions.

Meet at 9:00 AM at the east end of the Newcastle Beach Park parking lot,  reached by heading west from Exit 9 from I-405.  No parking pass is required either there or at the Redtown trailhead parking lot.
