This is a challenging hike but highly rewarding. Amazing views and flowers await.  The hike proper will begin with a steep four mile trail ascending 3000' to the summit of Norse Peak.  The trail near the top is a bit rough.  Here is a recent trip report:  https://www.wta.org/go-hiking/trip-reports/trip_report.2023-06-11.8231946021.  The trail then follows the PCT on the ridge for over seven miles of unending views.  We turn around at about Three Way Peak and descend done to the ski area via Bear Gap.  There may be residual snow on the trail, particularly in shaded spots.  I am requiring trekking poles.
