We’ll gather as a group in the parking area at the Boulder River Trailhead. After introductions, we’ll set out on the Boulder River Trail as a group. This trail has a gentle grade, so we will target a pace of 1.5-2.0 mph, but we will adjust according to the needs of the group.

Along the way, we can pause to admire the river, waterfalls, and the old-growth forest. Recent trip reports indicate a few stream crossings and possible downed logs to step over. At the end of the trail, we will take a lunch break. Then, we will return the way we came.

This trail can be quite muddy and the trip will run rain or shine. So be prepared with warm clothing, waterproof footwear, and rain gear.

Meet at the Boulder River Trailhead at 7:30 AM. No pass needed for parking.

Be cautious of potholes in the last 4 miles to the trailhead. There is a vault toilet a mile in from the turnoff on French Creek Road, but no facilities at the trailhead.
