We will ski the blue (intermediate) and green (easy) trails.  We will ski at a pace at which the group can stay together.  Classic skis only - no skate skis.
 
White Pass Nordic Center's web address is: https://skiwhitepass.com/the-mountain/nordic-center.  Trail map, snow and trail conditions and weather reports are available on their site. Trail passes are $35 plus a $5 fee for the RFID card. There is no additional parking fee on top of the trail pass.
 
When requesting leader’s permission, please provide a short description of your prior x-c ski experience and that you are comfortable with the planned distance (10 mile), elevation gain (1000 ft) and page (3 mph).  Students who took a Mountaineers cross-country ski course in 2026 are encouraged to attend.

We’ll meet in front of XC ski-rental yurt at White Pass Nordic area at 8:45am where we’ll do introductions and buy trail passes.  Packs on and start skiing at 9am.  If you need to rent gear then suggest be at the rental yurt by 8:15am at the latest.
 
Please note that White Pass Ski Area is approximately 2.5-3 hours' drive from Seattle and plan accordingly!  The leader will be staying locally for the weekend, but encourages trip participants to carpool.
