Cross-country Ski - Stevens Pass Nordic Center

This trip is primarily for the 2025 students of the Everett Mountaineers Cross Country Ski Course. Others are welcome if students don't fill all the spots.

I've checked "Leader Permission Required" so  that you and I have contact of some type before you register. Check the "contact leader box" and send me a note, including a short bio of your cross-country skiing experience. If you are a 2025 student, you will have had two field trips before this trip and I'm pretty sure the trip will be within your capabilities, but understand that it is not a "beginners trip." If at the end of the prior weekend field trip at Stevens Nordic Center you felt confident in your ability to handle hills and turns, then return for another go around for fun and continue to build your skills on blue trails. We will take Sidetrack and ski up valley to the warming hut (3.5 mi). Bring a lunch, snacks, liquids (hot and/or cold) . There is a porta potty by the warming hut. If Guthrie Middle is groomed and not icy, and depending on student abilities, we will head down valley skiing Guthrie Middle and then Scenic trails. If we finish much earlier than 2 pm, we can go back up valley on Main Line and choose, as a group, where and when to turn around. 

There is no fee for parking, but there is a fee to ski. You can purchase your trail pass online ($34 adult, $24 senior 70+), or at the SNC. If you will be renting equipment, arrive early enough to be ready to ski with the rest of us. The center has bathrooms, snacks to purchase, and I usually buy a hot chocolate before hitting the road. 

Carpool: Meet at Monroe Park  at 7:30 am for an 7:45 am departure.

Even if driving solo, please plan on meeting at the P&R unless, of course, you are coming from the east side of the mountains. Let me know your ride/drive plans, either way,

The goal is to arrive at Stevens Nordic Center around 9 am and start skiing 15 minutes later. We'll aim to depart around 2 pm.
