BY REGISTERING THIS LEADER CONSIDERS YOU MADE A COMMITMENT TO THE TRIP. It's only good form to cancel in the event of an injury, illness or an emergency. Even if there are people on the wait list it's often difficult to move them up close to the trip date. THANK YOU!

Depending on conditions, we might require some vehicles with AWD/4WD and/or tire chains to enable us all to carpool from our North Bend meeting place to the trailhead. The leader will invite volunteer drivers from within the group to come forward once registration is closed.

We will ski from the Hyak Iron Horse Snopark along the flat Palouse to Cascades State Park Trail (formerly the John Wayne Trail) at our own pace following the shore of Lake Keetchelus  Maximum of 8 miles round trip. Nordic Classic or Skate skis required.

This trip is suitable for beginners and others who want to get their ski season started on a groomed flat trail. Ski at your own pace. The leader will be available for advice and skiing tips and to try to make sure everyone is enjoying the trip. Nordic classic or skate skis are required. We will finish around lunch time.

If it has been a while since you’ve used your skis or you have a new set of equipment, please take a few moments before the date of the trip to make sure that all of your gear is at hand and in working order.

We can car pool from the North Bend Safeway. All vehicles taken to the trailhead will require WA Snopark Passes. Day passes can be purchased at the snopark.

Full trip information will be emailed out to those who sign up as soon as registration closes on Dec. 19. Any questions in the interim can be emailed to the trip leader, Chris Ensor: ctrails@comcast.net
