There is virtually no flat terrain in this trail system, so the ability to climb hills and control speed going downhill is required. Leader will be using classic Nordic technique but skaters are welcome.
You'll need to drive to Winthrop Thursday and spend the night (consider making your reservation at the hostel at http://www.northcascadesmountainhostel.com/ ), as our freight pick up is at 10:00 a.m. on Friday at the Cub Creek Trailhead, 20-30 minutes NW of Winthrop.
Though the cabin can sleep 8 (sharing narrow mattresses), this group is limited to 5 for comfort. We'll coordinate group breakfasts and dinners. There is a pair of bunk beds on the ground floor, and 2-3 mattresses on the loft sleeping floor.
Costs for the hut and freight hauls are $114 per person (which does not include your Thursday night lodging). Full payment due to leader to secure your spot on the trip. Cancellations won't get a refund unless your place is filled.
Cub Creek Trailhead at 10:00 a.m. Friday morning March 2, 2018.
