When requesting permission (as a participant or leader) please indicate the range of difficulty you are interested in climbing, either on top rope or on lead. That will help me form a compatible group and help determine which crag(s) we visit. Participants should have experience belaying a climber on top rope. You either need to have top rope belay badge with The Mountaineers, or you have a top-rope belay card with Vertical World/Edgework. Assistant leaders should be able to lead belay and to lead sport routes and can bring a rope and quickdraws. All inquiries sent before registration open date will be ignored.  Assistant leaders, feel free to reach out anytime

In term of the crags we will go to, we will head to Eastern Block & Squishy Bell. Single pitch cragging, starting with easier stuff in the 5.6-5.9 range to warm up.

Note that to be consistent with latest climbing "best practices", I am requiring that you use an assisted braking device (ADB) belay device on this trip.  If you don't have one, let me know ahead of time and you may be able to borrow one.  Examples include: Grigri, Pilot, Jul. Here's a link to some additional info on appropriate ABD devices: https://www.sourceclimbing.com/abd

Let's meet at Dirty Harry's Balcony trailhead parking lot at 4pm and be geared up and ready to go by 4:15pm if possible. Please don't forget a Discovery Pass is required to park at the TH. We will climb till it's dark, and we are very likely to hike out in the dark
