Moderate pace. All participants must be confident they have the necessary fitness for this  climb. The Seattle 2016 Seattle Basic Climbing course fitness standard is to be able to hike Mt Si trail to the base of the haystack carrying 15% of bodyweight in less than 2 hours. (3150' gain and ~4 miles). All participants are expected to actively contribute to pre-climb planning, logistics, navigation and route-finding.  Please be available by email Thursday evening and Friday.
