Northern North Cascades Loop - Copper Ridge and the Chilliwack River loop. The heart of the North Cascades awaits - The remote location of pristine Egg and Copper Lakes offers peaceful solitude and a unique alpine experience. Copper Ridge offers incredible intimate views of many of the rugged North Cascades Peaks. To cross the ragging Chilliwack River, the route requires the use of a hand-powered cable car stung hung above the river to make the crossing; truly a unique experience! 4 days, 3 nights. Very strenuous - round trip distance 35 miles, elevation gain in: approximately 4000 ft, elevation gain out: approximately 2000 ft. Maps: Mount Shuksan (GT#14) and Mount Challenger (GT#15). Tim Nair 425-891-8668 tim.nair@frontier.com Due to the unusually high snow-pack this year, I may need to change the destination to an area with less snow. I will send regular updates to all those signed-up, advising of any changes to the destination. Bear canisters are required for this trip - the Glacier Ranger station has them available for loan for a minimal fee.
