Backpack - Monogram Lake

This gem of an alpine lake, situated in a cirque beneath the glaciated summit of Little Devil Peak, is ringed by verdant meadows and frequented by resident wildlife. The hike is nearly ten miles round trip and just over 4,500 feet of elevation gain. The lake is located in the North Cascades National Park.

There is a possibility that the permits for the lake my be taken and we will switch locations.   We will take it easy getting up there as there is no rush.  We can take as many breaks as we all want.  

Bear Canisters are required.  They can be signed out for free from Ranger station.  You do not need a forest or national park pass.

We will then drive Drive the Cascade River Road, 7 mi from Marblemount to the Lookout Mountain Trailhead.

  • Toilet paper and shovel or blue bag to deal with waste
  • Bug Spray :)
