A fun moderate backpack to an area of gentle slopes and many lakes. The Fall colors should be amazing. We are spending two nights at Dumbell with the middle day for exploration. A lot of the trip's elevation gain will be the on-trail ascent of Tumac Mountain on our second day-a looping daypack only hike. Participates need to have a successfully gained 1,500' in one day with a full backpack on a previous backpack trip this year. We will likely have a fire at camp if allowed. Participants need to be prepared for cool to coldish nights and about 12 hours of darkness.
