Tour intended for developing ski tourers to gain experience in a relaxed setting.

Skiing is moderately challenging and involves tree skiing on the lower half, helmet recommended.   There are some steeper sections near the top that will be challenging for "Blue Run" skiers,  but if you are willing do traverses and stem turns  and/or kick turns to get down the steeper parts it should be manageable.

Note this route involves a couple of miles along flat groomed tracks of the Iron Horse at the start and exit of the tour.    Universal XC Kick wax will likely be more efficient on these sections than climbing skins.

Additional Note:  A Winter Storm Warning, Extreme Avalanche Forecast from NWAC, Freezing Rain or "Chains Required" on the highway will cancel the trip.    If NWAC forecast is for a High avalanche hazard -- inbounds lift skiing will be a fallback option considered.
