A short but very fun scramble up a high and prominent peak near Darrington along the Mountain Loop Highway! This is a peak on the "Smoot List" and is the 25th most prominent peak in the state! The scramble will go up some great slabby rock to an overlook above a glacier. The crux of the route is an exposed ledge crossing that leads to a narrow col before the summit. The rock is solid here, but it is airy and exposed.
I am a fair weather Mountaineer and I want the ledge to be dry. Poor weather will postpone or cancel.
