Edit: With a short weather window we decided to skip Snoqualmie Mountain and just do Guye Peak.
There is some exposure when traversing to Snoqualmie East Peak, so this scramble is for those who have done T4/T5 scrambles previously. If your Mountaineers trip history doesn't show anything comparable in the past 6 months, please email me with your relevant private trips (with mileage & elevation gain) and physical conditioning.
We could encounter wet rock and/or snow. Microspikes and axes required. If there is light rain, we'll still attempt the trip for as long as conditions remain safe, but we'll turn around if the rock is too slippery or participants feel uncomfortable. This trip may be relocated or canceled if the forecast calls for significant rain, snow, or smoke.
Group Expectations:
I like to keep a moderate steady pace with a few minutes break every hour. Participants will be asked to navigate and should study the route options beforehand (see this great trip report with pics from last year). The leaders have not done this route before, so some route-finding and backtracking may be required. We'll travel together as one group.
Main Alpental parking lot at 7:15am for a pre-briefing, and ready to move by 7:30am. Sunrise: 7:39am. Sunset: 5:59pm.
