- Follow the Weeden Creek and Gothic Basin trail to Gothic Basin and then to Foggy Lake at 5,200 ft.
- From Foggy Basin traverse clockwise around lake and ascend via the southeast ridge to the summit.
Direction to trailhead
Take Highway 92 to its end in Granite Falls. At the T intersection near the east end of town, turn left onto the Mountain Loop Highway. Follow this road 11 miles to the Verlot Ranger Station for maps, permits, and latest trail information. 19.3 miles past the ranger station is Barlow Pass and the end of paved road. Here you will find a parking lot on the left (north) side of the road.
Parking Permit: Northwest Forest Pass (or National Parks Pass)
Trailhead coordinate: 48.0266, -121.4439
- Lake Stevens Transit Center: 6:45 AM (near Bay 2, north side of the parking lot)
- Trailhead: 8:00AM
- Start scrambling: 8:30AM
Drivers will need a Northwest Forest Pass or the National Park Pass.
