  • This is a relatively easy hike that takes you through a forest with giant trees, mosses, ferns, lichens and slime molds!  Lots of fungi too!IMG_1163.jpeg

This was a Naturalist hike where we focused on identifying fungi, mosses and lichens.  We encountered two interesting slime molds as well.

The weather was mainly cloudy with a few bouts of rain, including while eating lunch at the lake.  We took shelter under the branches of Alaskan Yellow Cedar and Western Red Cedar, near the lake.
