Barclay Lake
An easy, 4.4 mile hike in summer and snowshoe in winter with 225 feet of elevation gain. On this hike travel through old-growth forest and enjoy views of Gunn Peak and Merchant Peak on the trail. Across the lake is a stunning view of the north face of Baring Mountain.
gettting there
From US-2 in Baring, near Milepost 4 and across from Der Baring Store, turn north onto 635th Pl NE and cross the railroad tracks. In 0.25 mile, turn left onto Forest Road 6034 and drive 4.2 miles to the trailhead (2,200 ft).
In winter, snow on the forest road varies significantly based on recent snowfall. Be prepared to park on the road and hike to trailhead.
