Practicing Good Judgement in the Outdoors - Mountaineers Kitsap Program Center

Evening seminar on practicing good judgement with Wayne Horodowich.

  • Casual

6:00-8:00pm in the Meeting Room

After an incident in the outdoors, you often hear that the person involved should have done something differently. Are you prepared to make difficult decisions in the outdoors? Is your past experience enough to help you when faced with a problem? We will review what constitutes good judgment, the decision making process, how to avoid situations, and review some scenarios that have caused problems for outdoor enthusiasts in the past - all with the hope of avoiding the same fate. The goal of this presentation is to give you the tools to make effective decisions during your outdoor adventures.

Wayne Horodowich was the Director of Adventure Programs at U.C. Santa Barbara for 25 years. He has trained over 1,000 outdoor trip leaders and numerous instructors over the past 40 plus years. He continues to teach clinics around North America to share his experiences.
