Join fellow Mountaineers and guests for an evening of top-rope climbing. This session focuses on community and skill-sharing, utilizing our indoor facilities with the possibility of moving outdoors if the weather permits.

Safety & Prerequisites
To ensure a safe and efficient environment for all participants, knowing how to belay is a requirement. We kindly ask all attendees to review the PBUS (Pull, Brake, Under, Slide) technique prior to the event if a refresher is needed.

We invite you to an Open Climb Night designed for Mountaineers members and their guests to connect as a community and climb together. Our primary plan is to climb top rope indoors, but we will keep a close eye on the sky—if the weather is favorable, we will take the session outside to enjoy the fresh air.
Required Equipment
Rock climbing gear.
- Helmet
- Harness
- Belay device (can be ATC or assisted device such as Grigri)
- Rappel device (ATC)
- Autoblock or prussik loop
- Belay gloves (recommended)
- Boots or approach shoes or climbing shoes
- Carabineers (at least 4 locking carabineers and several non lockers)
- Anchor material (several slings or cord)
