MANDATORY PRE-TRIP MEETING:

Sept. 12, from 6-7pm via Zoom. Link will be emailed to registered chaperones one week before the meeting.

This trip is offered as a try-out trip for those who won the Pathfinders and Nomads lottery. If the trip is not filled by lottery winners, we will open to the public.

Expect to leave town Friday evening and return in the late afternoon or evening on Sunday night.

Trip SheetThis will be posted here 10 days before the trip noting a detailed schedule, driving directions, and packing list.

Activity Plan: Contains activity pod allocations and dinner sign up.

Weather: Please keep an eye out and pack accordingly. If it is too rainy we will bail on our climbs and hike. NOAA link as well.

Guests: If spots are still available one week prior to the trip, email Tom to request that a friend or sibling be able to join.

Registration: Since this trip is open to non-members, register directly here on this page. For all other Pathfinders and Nomads trips registration, use the Pathfinders and Nomads course pages.

Every year, Pathfinders & Nomads host a Kick-Off Trip which serves as a try-out for prospective new members and a chance for all returning members to get reacquainted with one another over a weekend of rock climbing and hiking. We will have a couple groups each day going out to various crags and hikes, camping  in Mt. Erie at Deception Pass with a communal meal, all led by adult chaperones/Mountaineers staff and volunteers.

This trip is community focused and should give anyone new to Pathfinders & Nomads a good idea of what our culture is like. Interested members need not pay/commit to the club before attending this trip, and will be invited to make their decision to join or not after this trip.

If you'd like to borrow non-climbing gear, please submit your request to the gear library.
