Fall 2025 Conservation Policy Update

Join The Mountaineers conservation team online on November 5 for the next opportunity to hear updates on our federal policy priorities, how The Mountaineers and our partners are advocating for the outdoors, and the latest action opportunities.
257 ( 300 capacity)

With so many emerging threats to public lands, recreation, and the climate this year, the state of play and how actions by Congress and the administration are impacting Washington’s lands and waters is constantly changing. We’re dedicated to the challenge of cutting through the noise and elevating the best ways you can make an impact.

From federal agency workforce reductions to public lands sell-offs and threats to protections for backcountry recreation, our conservation staff and members like you have brought our community’s voice to bear this year - and it’s made a difference.

Join us online the afternoon of Wednesday, November 5 to hear the latest on our shared work to defend our federal public lands.

The Mountaineers conservation team will share conservation and recreation policy updates, including where our priorities stand in Congress after our recent advocacy trip to Washington, D.C. They’ll also uplift the most important actions you can take to defend public lands and protect investments in critical agencies like the Forest Service before the end of the year.

RSVP to attend our 60-minute virtual event to connect with staff and other conservation-minded Mountaineers and get ready to speak up for our lands and waters and the outdoor experiences they support. Registrants will receive a Zoom meeting link the day before the event.
