Fairfax Bridge Centennial

This event is sponsored by Friends of Carbon Canyon and others.  Gather in Wilkeson, and follow the procession of antique cars to the Mountaineers property.  Music and speeches will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the completion of the Fairfax Bridge  which, when constructed, was the highest bridge in the state standing nearly 250 feet above over the Carbon River.    Consider taking a hike into Mt. Rainier National Park  (no pets) or a bike ride along the old road that is now managed as a trail.
