This is day three of hikes in the spring river rambler series on the Columbia River...featuring views of the mighty Columbia as well as spring wildflowers! We will be exploring both loops to get about 6.5 miles of hiking.

Here's what WTA has to say:

The Cherry Orchard is mostly an out-and-back trip, which climbs from Highway 14 steeply up to a plateau where the Columbia River view opens up and stays with you as you climb through a diverse meadow of spring-time wildflowers: death camas, grass widow, larkspur, glacier lilies, shooting star, locoweed, and balsamroot, to name a few.

There is hardly any poison oak in washington except on the columbia gorge.  Please wear pants for this hike.

This is the alternative hike to eagle creek falls trail which is closed due to landslides.

*Leaders are staying at beacon rock sp site 16.  You're welcome to make a reservation at this or other nearby camping areas or hotels.

0900 Trailhead which is on the side of the road on hwy 14.
