The plan is to make our way out to the incredible Dungeness Lighthouse, stopping briefly along the way to take in the incredible views. We will spend 30-45 minutes (weather dependent) when we get there for a little lunch and tour of the lighthouse for those who have not been before. This is an 11 mile hike (5.5 out and 5.5 back) on sand. Please wear at least light hiking or trail running shoes for stability. I will also be bringing my poles!

We will hike generally together, but you are welcome to stop for photos and even a little rock hunting. We just want to make sure the entire group is visible at all times.

Even though we are “going to the beach”, PLEASE make sure to bring your TEN ESSENTIALS (especially rain gear, good footwear, water and food).

NO PASS IS REQUIRED TO PARK but there is a $3 day use fee required. Look for the large informational kiosk where you can pay your entrance fee. It’s $3 per family or group (which includes up to 4 people) and it is best to bring 3 $1 bills to slip in the envelope.

We will meet at the trailhead parking lot at 8:45am for brief introductions and plan to be on the trail no later than 9:00am. I will be driving a silver Ford Edge (CGY1453).
