Meet at the Upper Big Quilcene trailhead at 8am on Saturday.
**I will be carrying my 13 month old daughter and my husband will also be on this trip.**
This is a beautiful forest hike that follows the Big Quilcene River for 2.5 miles until our destination, Shelter Rock Camp. In those 2.5 miles, we will gain 1500ft in elevation.
Once we set up camp, we will have the option to side hike up to Marmot Pass (an additional 6.5 miles and 2,200ft gain roundtrip). Those who don't feel up to it may stay in camp. On Sunday, we will pack up camp and hike the 2.5 miles back to the car.
Must display NW Forest Pass or America the Beautiful Pass in vehicle at the trailhead.
