The spectacular mountain scenery and sparkling swimmable alpine lakes of Idaho’s Sawtooth and White Cloud Mountain ranges are presented in the Walking the Wild talk on April 20, 2022. Dick Lambe backpacked these 2 areas in 2020 and 2022 and he'll be sharing his photos, maps and planning details so that you can plan your own trip in this stunning area!
Dick started backpacking in the 1960s in Massachusetts as a Boy Scout, and has also backpacked in New Hampshire, Washington, Oregon, Alaska, California, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, New Zealand, and British Columbia. He arrived in the Pacific Northwest in 1979 and joined The Mountaineers around 1980 to take the Basic Refresher Climbing Course and rejoined the Club in 2000. He leads backpacking, hiking, skiing, and snowshoeing trips for the Mountaineers.
The presentation will begin promptly at 7PM and end at 8:30PM with time for Q&A at the end. The event will be held on zoom. An advance ticket will be required to receive the zoom link to join the presentation - you can get your ticket here!
