40TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF THE FIRST AMERICAN SUMMIT OF K2
In September 1978, Jim Whittaker and Dianne Roberts led the expedition that put the first Americans on the summit of K2. Together with the heroic members of the expedition team, The Mountaineers will celebrate the 40th anniversary of this significant achievement in mountaineering history.

On Thursday, September 6, we invite you to a celebration with 6 of the original K2 expedition team. The event will kick off with an outdoor retailer fest with complimentary food, drinks, vendor tables, and conclude with a panel-style recount of the expedition with slides and photos from Jim Whittaker and Dianne Roberts. Don't miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to gather with these extraordinary climbers and honor their achievement. All are welcome!
