Seattle MAC - Leadership Workshop Series - Online Classroom

(Session #1) A series of classroom-style workshops designed to empower junior & senior MAC students to plan and lead their own climbing or mountaineering trip with the support of staff and volunteers, as a lesson in leadership. This workshop is part of a 5-sessoin long series and students must enroll in all 5 parts. This workshop has prerequisites, see leader's notes for details. 6-8pm

Each session will feature a different topic, see leader's notes for details. Meeting info will be sent to registered participants on the day of the meeting. 

This series is open only to students in MAC who are junior or seniors in highschool, or have been in MAC for a minimum of 2 years, and are in their 3rd or more year in the program.

Session 1: Your Future as a Climber

  • Purpose of seminar
  • Skills needed to lead your own trips outside of MAC 
  • Goal setting - What type of trip is most important to you? What destination/climb would be a good choice?

Homework for Dec: Research 2-3 trips you are interested in leading
