Christian Junkar, a USA Ice Climbing Team athlete, will be leading the group in proper warm ups, safety habits, techniques for getting more in touch with their picks, and working the feet for good climbing outside
This is an advanced trip. Prerequisites:
- Confidence and ample experience leading at least 5.9 sport.
- Experience glacier climbing and familiarity with ice axe use, as a base for learning to use ice tools
- Ability to handle poor conditions - adequate layers & experience to stay warm in freezing/wet weather
The group will meet at The Barn in White Center - 1833 SW 114th ST, Seattle, WA, 98146.
The event will start at 10 am. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the event starting to get situated and sign any waivers that may need to be signed.
It will be up to the participants to organize their own transportation to and from the gym. Here is a CARPOOL link to help organize.
