Mini Mountaineers

Mini Mountaineers is designed to get children ages 2-5 and an accompanying adult interacting with nature together, fostering a love for the outdoors in the next generation. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, babysitters, friends...let us do the planning to get you and your little one outside together with fellow outdoorsy families!

We host two events a month during the school year, a meet up for a nature walk  or seasonal outdoor activity and a climb and craft evening at the Seattle Program Center. At our meet-ups, we will listen for birds, splash in a creek, play in the sand, look for bugs,...and enjoy being surrounded by nature! Occasionally throughout the year we will meet up for more seasonal activities such as sledding and playing in the snow in the winter or hiking to a waterfall in the spring. 

Our climb and craft nights will take place at The Mountaineers Seattle Program Center. Our staff will support and belay Minis in learning to climb on our slab walls, bouldering, and on ropes. We will also offer a different themed craft or activity each month, such as leaves falling, snow, and colors in nature. Join us for climbing, crafts, and stories relating to each theme to make learning fun and climbing accessible.
