Intro to Skate Skiing Course

Three week intro course for novices or beginners.

Skate skiing is a fast and exhilarating form of Nordic skiing!

This three-week course is designed for novice or beginning skate skiers. It is taught by knowledgeable and friendly PSIA-certified instructors on groomed trails. You will learn basic skating technique and movement patterns to get you gliding effortlessly down the trail.

Prerequisites: Previous skiing experience - either XC or alpine - will help facilitate a fast-track learning experience. Potential participants without previous skiing experience are encouraged to complete the Introduction to Cross Country class.

When:

  • Jan 7, 9:30 - 11:30am
  • Jan 21, 9:30 - 11:30am
  • Jan 28, 9:30 - 11:30am

If one of the field trips needs to be cancelled due to poor conditions, there is a make up class scheduled on Feb 4 from 9:30-11:30am.

Where: Classes are held at the Sno Parks, east of Snoqualmie Pass. (See the required equipment list for a link to purchase the required groomed snow-park permit.)

Cancellations after 12/22 will incur a $15 fee.
