CHS 1 Hike - Talus Loop

CHS hike led at a CHS 1 pace (1.5-2.0 mph). CHS hike led at a CHS 1 pace (1.5-2.0 mph). A hike through forests thick with ferns and second-growth trees, several small cascading streams/waterfalls, and a view of the Cascades. A lollipop hike starting at the Mount Teneriffe trail to Roaring Creek, Mt Si, and Talus Loop Trails before returning to the Mt Teneriffe Trail.

  • Elevation Gain: 1,350 ft

Meet at 8:10 at Tibbetts Valley Park, exit 15 off of I-90 or at Mount Teneriffe trailhead parking lot at 8:45.  The Mount Teneriffe trailhead is  45 minutes from Seattle (about a 5 mile drive from I-90, exit 32).  A Discover Pass is needed to park at the trailhead.

This hike is  a good opportunity to get your gear organized and maybe even pick up some tips from your peers on how to satisfy your ten essentials. Please be prepared as you would be for more remote endeavors. We'll stop for several breaks, including one extended snack/lunch break.
