CHS Alumni Hike - Mount Fremont Lookout, Berkeley Park & Skyscraper Mountain

Phase 2 hike. A three “loop” hike starting at Sunrise and following Sourdough Ridge to Berkeley Park, Skyscraper Mountain, and First Burroughs Mountain returning to Sunrise along the Burroughs Loop Trail. Excellent views of Mount Rainier. Distant peaks on the North Cascades, like Glacier Peak, Mount Stuart and even Mount Baker are visible on clear days as well as close-up scenery of wild flowers if still in season.

  • Elevation Gain: 2,823 ft
  • High Point Elevation: 7,078 ft
  • Pace: 1.50-2.5 mph

Meet at the trailhead near Sunrise Visitors Center at 8:00am.  Boots on trail at 8:15am.

Leader  Notes:

Much of this hike is exposed to the sun so be prepared to bring plenty of water and sun protection.  The exposure also means fantastic views, if the weather cooperates

  • Snohomish, King and Pierce Counties are in Phase II.   This is a Phase II hike.
  • The trip is only open to those who live local (within 125 miles of the Sunrise Parking Lot)
  • This trip will be updated if County guidelines change
  • Participants on this day hike will be subject to strict adherence to social distancing and mask requirements.  Leaders will communicate specifics to the participants in advance.   If you have any questions about these requirements, or object to any of the requirements, please contact the leaders, in advance.
