CHS Alumni Hike - Mount Erie, Sugerloaf, Heart Lake & Whistle Lake

Loop hike through the Anacortes Community Forest Lands past pretty Whistle Lake to the summit of Sugarloaf Mountain, then around the west side of Heart Lake.

8:30 AM at "The Store" at 37th & Commercial in Anacortes, then convoy to trailhead as cell coverage typically very poor at Heart Lake. Pit toilets at Heart Lake parking lot.

Per Phase 2 guidance, no Carpooling except for households recommended.

This is a Phase 2 hike.   Group will stay together and hike at the speed of the slowest participant.  

  • All participants must agree to the COVID-19 Code of Conduct.
  • All participants must bring hand sanitizer and a cloth mask that you can quickly raise and lower as needed on the trail (such as a buff or bandana).
